Who I am
My name is Vassili and I'm a freelancer and startup founder based in Brussels, Belgium.
Mostly, I work on my startup, Sevendays.
Sevendays is a freelancer's answer to sites like UpWork and Freelancer.com. It enables startup companies, digital agencies, non profits and individuals to find great talent - programmmers, designers, copywriters, marketers, and more, for free.
But what it also does is help job seekers (especially freelancers) find great work without hassle, without bidding wars, without fees and without dealing with recruiters. We can even guarantee a steady flow of job invitations.
I started Sevendays three years ago. After working in tech consulting at Accenture for 10 years, in October 2012 I quit my job and started freelancing to make a living. I thought it would be a piece of cake since I'd been programming on and off for more than a decade, and as a manager at Accenture I had ample experience selling services, including my own. How wrong I was. Experienced freelancers will know what I'm talking about.
I also still do some freelance programming and blogging/content marketing, since Sevendays isn't profitable yet, and because I love to freelance:
